The course will acquaint master students with the basic experimental and theoretical aspects of plasma diagnostics by electrical probes (single, double, triple and thermo emissive probes) and laser (laser absorption and laser induced fluorescence).

    During the first three days, the students will have possibility to perform experiments, process the experimental data offline and discuss the results. Last three days will be dedicated to lectures that will discuss fundamental aspects of electrical probe and laser diagnostics methods.

    The capacity of school is of twenty participants. The experimental works and demonstrations will be performed in groups of five students under supervision of instructors in the laboratories of Plasma Physics of Department of Physics of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi.

    The language of the school is English.

    Accommodation at convenient prices is available in double rooms at student house within walking distance from laboratories.

    Registration is open until the school capacity is fulfilled, but no later than august, 15th.
